Profesorka nadzwyczajna w Instytucie Sztuk Audiowizualnych Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego (Zakład Mediów Audiowizualnych), kierowniczka Zakładu Mediów Audiowizualnych. Jej zainteresowania naukowe koncentrują się na teorii mediów w perspektywie kulturoznawczej, badaniach nad dźwiękiem, sztuce mediów, e-literaturze, grach wideo w strategiach artystycznych. Aktualne tematy badań własnych: estetyka obrazowania post-cyfrowego (rzeczywistość wirtualna, obrazowanie zautomatyzowane), internet platform, niereprezentacjonistyczna teoria mediów.

Stypendystka Fulbrighta: w semestrze jesiennym 2019/2020 wykładała jako Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence w ramach programu Creative Digital Media w Winona State University (USA).
